This is the kitchen of a 95-year-old woman who still enjoys cooking. Her family decided to give it a makeover to enhance its functionality. They switched out the microhood for a standard range hood and opted for a countertop microwave at a more convenient height. The small U-shaped kitchen presented challenges with two difficult to access blind corners, so we installed swing-out shelves to maximize storage. Deep drawers were added to make accessing larger cooking pots easier. The family selected a double bevel shaker door with easy-to-clean slab top drawers, complemented by crown molding and decorative panels facing the dining room.
