Frosty, Navy and Nickel Kitchen, New Island, False Oven Cabinet, Appliance Garage - Sunset Hills, MO

This spacious kitchen in Sunset Hills had a few quirks that impacted its functionality and made it appear smaller than it actually was. One particular issue was the oven being built into the drywall, creating a disconnected look between the kitchen and the unused desk area. Additionally, the L-shaped island closed off the kitchen space and made it challenging to open the oven door. To address these concerns and create a better sense of proportion, we decided to replace the desk with a built-in fridge cabinet, which also aligned with their desire for a larger refrigerator. To seamlessly integrate the fridge back into the kitchen, we framed around the oven with a false cabinet. Furthermore, we transformed the old fridge location into a spacious pantry, cleverly concealing their juicer and blender behind a garage door. Lastly, we completely replaced the island to enhance the overall functionality and aesthetics of the kitchen.
